Something new… in Fundraising

27 May 2016 /

We’ve been working hard on two new initiatives to ensure our sustainability into the future.

The first is our brand new Bequest Brochure. We are blessed with several passionate, strong supporters who have ensured our sustainability for almost 20 years (next year!). And we are delighted to announce that we now have a Bequest Brochure to help guide you through the process of leaving a lasting legacy to help more young people transform their lives. Click here to check it out.

Another of our new initiatives is the establishment of a ‘giving circle’, the Stars100 Club. This is our effort to increase the number of students we fund to undertake the Personal Leadership Program, so more young people are given the chance to have better futures. We are looking for at least 100 people to donate a minimum of $1,000 per student. For those interested in joining our Club, please contact Denise Rowe on 8240 3133 or denise.rowe@youthopportunities.com.au.

As part of our Stars 100 Club members are invited to attend networking events the first of which we held last night with guest speaker Rear Admiral The Honourable Kevin Scarce AC CSC RAN (Ret’d). Kevin shared with us his experiences with the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Royal Commission, with drinks and delicious snacks provided by another of our Members, Kristian Livolsi, of the Rob Roy Hotel. Our Spring Stars100 Club cocktail function will be in early October and will feature another of our Members, Hon. Kevin Foley, who will regale us with amusing inside stories of his experiences in the political arena.
