Derby Day at the HWY

18 October 2018 / Uncategorised

Join us on November 3rd for Derby Day at The HWY! Youth Opportunities is proud to be the chosen charity for this annual event, taking place again thanks to the generous support of Tim and Kelly Rugless from Brighton Foodland and The HWY hotel. Now in its sixth year, the event has raised more than $50,000 to date and always proves to be a fantastic afternoon, held on the deck in the Spring sunshine.

The dress code is black and white, so don your glad-rags and get ready for a big day of fun, fashion – and of course racing. There’s big screens to see all the action up close, private TAB facilities and live music for the party goers to strut their stuff! All guests will also be in with a chance to win, with prizes up for grabs in the Fashions on the Field event. Because of Tim & Kelly’s amazing generosity, along with The HWY’s support, past Derby Day monies have given more than 50 young South Australians the opportunity to take part in our programs – gaining a long-lasting skill-set to overcome life’s challenges and reach their potential. Every dollar raised from this year’s Derby Day will go directly towards Youth Opportunities training in 2019.

Tickets are $120, which includes all drinks and canapes for the day. There’s also $20 sweep payable at the door, which will be run on the main race of the day, The Victoria Derby. Buy your tickets here and don’t miss what’s shaping up to a fun and exciting afternoon at The Highway – every ticket sold will ultimately help us help more young people in need across SA.
