Michael Whiting

Michael has over 40 years of stockbroking experience at the management and executive level. He is currently an Adviser and a Director of Taylor Collison Limited (Investment Advisers and Stockbrokers) and he serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors.  Taylor Collison has offices in Adelaide and Sydney. Michael is also Responsible Executive for ASIC purposes for supervisory and compliance matters at Taylor Collison.  Michael commenced broking in 1980, moved to London in 1981 and trained as a resource analyst. Michael moved back to Australia in 1985 and set up his own broking firm which merged with Taylor Collison in 1990. Michael currently serves on the Stockbrokers and Financial Advisers Association retail broking committee and Compliance committees.  He has also served on the ASIC Disciplinary Panel.

In his spare time Michael is an avid racer of Radical sports cars and regularly competes on the racing circuit, hoping to win.  He also supports a number of Adelaide charities (and is a regular face serving meals at the Fred’s Van Food Service a St Vincent de Paul initiative). Close to Michael’s heart is support of the Arts in South Australia, together with his wife Tracey who is closely connected the Contemporary Arts. Michael is also the proud father of three adult children who have escaped South Australia, but still call Adelaide home.
