On Monday 1 May, Youth Opportunities hosted its 15th annual Golf Day at the pristine Glenelg Golf Club. Close to 40 teams participated in the day, including several regular players who’ve been part of the event from the very beginning and look forward to supporting the event each year.
Presented by Tanti Constructions, the event exceeded its fundraising target; we’re thrilled to have raised over $110,000 which will be directed back towards the delivery of programs and services, supporting young people in need.
As always, the on-course entertainment was well-received, and the generosity of our event partners was on display. Players began the day with a BBQ breakfast before hitting the course and enjoying a variety of South Australian produce and beverages, as well as mini massages and wellness tips. The day concluded with a sit-down dinner in the Clubhouse, inclusive of auctions, a raffle, and the chance for guests to spend time with old and new friends.
We gratefully acknowledge all who participated in the golf day and contributed to its success. We could not have done it without our Presenting Partner, Tanti Constructions, and Sponsors: Living Choice Australia, Serafino Wines, NAB, Magain Real Estate, Adelaide BMW, Glenelg Golf Club, Maxima, Perks, WRP Legal & Advisory, RJE Global, Holdfast Insurance Brokers, PhysioXtra, and Workspace Commercial Furniture, and our Event Partners: Vilis, Coopers Brewery, Rapid Relief Team, Kennards, Harvey Norman, Coca-cola Europacific Partners, Brighton Foodland, Drummond Golf, and Chilly Billy.
We were also greatly assisted by the many organisations who chose to donate to our on-day fundraising efforts, including our major and silent auctions, and raffle, and those who provided additional in-kind support on the day.
Thank you also to our Golf Day Committee: Eddie Bell (chair), Peter Carey OAM, Pat Carpenter, Nick Chigwidden and Joe Paparella, who, every year, work so hard to produce a quality event for our players and the young people we support.
